Bernice Is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya. She has vast experience in Commercial Law with specialization in Company and Copyright Law. She is also well-versed in insolvency matters and has administered numerous bankruptcies and company liquidations. For the last 27 years, Ms. Gachegu has worked for the State Law Office in various capacities and has risen through the ranks to the position of Registrar General. 

She has honed management skills that have allowed her to successfully supervise and guide activities of over 150 staff members, and manage annual budgets of approximately Ksh 20 million. Ms. Gachegu has demonstrated a commitment to the values of integrity, equity, fairness, justice, and adherence to the rule of law by initiating processes that would render this office a corruption-free zone and a true embodiment of the principles of servant leadership.
