I am seasoned educationist with several years’ experience of teaching, training and researching in various institutions ranging from Secondary schools to University. Currently I am lecturer in the School of

Communication. I am also a PhD candidate at Daystar University. My

PhD. focus is on End of Life Communication in the Kenyan Cultural Context. I am also an experienced short course and professional course trainer, specifically in Public Speaking. My main research, teaching and training interests lie in Communication and Culture, Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, Communication Ethics, Christianity and Media, Gender and Media, and Health Communication.

Research Interests
  • My main research interests are in adolescents and media, gender and communication, as well as health communication in various contexts.
  • I carried out a research project with Miller, Ann, Will Kinnaly, &, Nancy Booker. We published a paper titled:  The relationship between Nairobi adolescents’ media use and their sexual beliefs and attitudes. It was published in the African Journal of AIDS Research Volume 16, 2017 - Issue 2. I am also about to complete a research project on the History of Daystar funded by the Research Department at Daystar University.
