  • Dr. Florence Muindi is the Founder President and CEO of Life in Abundance (LIA) International.  
  • A published author and an itinerant global speaker in conferences, churches, and institutions of higher learning.
  • Cumulatively, the work she has founded and led has transformed the lives of over a million poor and vulnerable urban and rural dwellers, equipped nearly 2,000 local churches, and evangelized more than 200,000 people among them close to 20,000 new converts.
  • A committed born again Christian and ordained minister of the gospel.

Experience

  • Serving fully under LIA International as Founder President and CEO, in charge of the LIA vision being implemented in 12 countries in Africa and two in the Caribbean, USA, Switzerland and Blue Wings (Aviation Company with one aircraft a subsidiary company of LIA International) and two training centres. Leading a team of 93 full time and part-time employees.
  • Serving as a missionary with CMF International, seconded to LIA International as LIA International Founding President. In charge of the implementation of the LIA vision in seven countries in Africa, as well as the management of the International office in Ethiopia and the support raising office in Pasadena, CA.
  • Piloted wholistic ministry to serve the rural and urban poor in Ethiopia.
  • Took an Intensive 9 months study of the Amharic Language while with CMF in Addis Ababa, in preparation to serve in Ethiopia.
  • While Still with CMF, in America, worked part time with Heart to Heart International in Kansas City Kansas, giving Consultant assistance to the director on third world health and relief activities. Heart to Heart International is an Aid agency assisting third world countries in Relief and health supplies.
  • Christian Missionary Fellowship (CMF International) was in-charge of CMF’s Nomadic health care programs with the Maasai in Kenya and was the doctor directly in-charge of five of their health centres. Played a major role in the initiation of community -based health projects among the Maasai people group.
  • With African Medical and Research Foundation (AMREF), where I first worked as a part time consultant in their Primary Health care programs and, later was employed fulltime in the department of community health as a health programs co-ordinator. While at AMREF, she worked with Child survival programs in Kenya and Tanzania, with refugee health programs and in training programs. Served in curriculum development and training facilitator.
  • With GTZ (Now GIZ) health program in Kenya where she first worked as a health programs researcher and later as a Family planning program manager.
  • Worked with Prisons Health Care in Nairobi as the doctor in-charge of The Women’s prisons health care activities.
