About
I have been a Media and Film Lecturer at Daystar University and the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication- Film Department (KIMC) for a period spanning 10 years. I teach courses including but not limited to Broadcast Journalism, Video Production, Screenwriting, Cinematography, Film Producing and Directing. I am also a practicing filmmaker with experience in writing, producing and directing Film & TV content as follows:
- Writer/Director: Men of the Hill Feature length film (2019)
- Writer/Director: Winds of Change Documentary (2018)
- Writer/Producer/Director: Daystar Cares infomercial (2016)
- Writer/Director: Spill the Beans documentary (2015)
- Executive Producer: The Runner Feature length film (2014)
- Writer/Director: Take 2 TV Edutainment serial drama (2013)
- Storyliner of popular NTV Series Mali (2010-2011)
- Consultant- Shuga TV Serial drama Season 1 (2010)

Additionally, I have been a consultant for the following organizations: The Standard Group Kenya (Scribe Project), Liverpool Health, Vision 2030 Secretariat, Department of Film Services (DFS), Save the Children Fund, Experiential Marketing (EXP Momentum), World-wide Fund (WWF) and the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC). I am a member of the Kenya Film and Television Professionals Association (KFTPA) and Society for Cinema & Media Studies (SCMC). As my contribution to the community, I am the founding director of the East Africa Student Film Festival (EASFF). The first edition of the festival was successfully held in November 2017 with the proud support of the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB).

Panellist- Africa Union’s extraordinary session of the 2nd specialized technical committee on youth with specific reference to the National Film Sector (side event): (13th-15th September 2017). My presentation was on, How to Promote Kenya’s Cultural Heritage and National Cohesion through film. The event was aired live on NTV Kenya.

Delegate- International Film Convention- Kenya (IFC-K) (15th17th November 2017): I attended the 3-day conference as a delegate in my capacity as a practitioner and academic and participated in panel discussions. The convention was themed, Taking the Audiovisual and Film Industry in East Africa to the next Level.
