About

I have been a Media and Film Lecturer at Daystar University and the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication- Film Department (KIMC) for a period spanning 10 years. I teach courses including but not limited to Broadcast Journalism, Video Production, Screenwriting, Cinematography, Film Producing and Directing. I am also a practicing filmmaker with experience in writing, producing and directing Film & TV content as follows:

  • Storyliner of popular NTV Series Mali (2010-2011)

Additionally, I have been a consultant for the following organizations: The Standard Group Kenya (Scribe Project), Liverpool Health, Vision 2030 Secretariat, Department of Film Services (DFS), Save the Children Fund, Experiential Marketing (EXP Momentum), World-wide Fund (WWF) and the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC). I am a member of the Kenya Film and Television Professionals Association (KFTPA) and Society for Cinema & Media Studies (SCMC). As my contribution to the community, I am the founding director of the East Africa Student Film Festival (EASFF). The first edition of the festival was successfully held in November 2017 with the proud support of the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB).

My presentation was on, How to Promote Kenya’s Cultural Heritage and National Cohesion through film. The event was aired live on NTV Kenya.

Delegate- International Film Convention- Kenya (IFC-K) (15th17th November 2017): I attended the 3-day conference as a delegate in my capacity as a practitioner and academic and participated in panel discussions.
