Samuel Oundo Abwoga is a Finance professional with over 15 years work experience in the banking sector.

Samuel has achieved some important things. He prepared the first set of financial reports for a bank that followed international accounting rules. He was also part of a team that helped start the first automatic system for clearing cheques in Kenya.

Samuel has held several positions. He was the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Barclays Bank in Tanzania for almost six years. In this role, he was a key leader, helping make important decisions, managing the bank's money, leading the finance team, and working on the bank's plans and budgets. He also worked as a Financial Controller for Barclays Bank in Kenya, where he managed financial information, reporting, and helped lead big projects like changing the bank's main computer system.

Before his senior roles at Barclays, Samuel gained experience as an Assistant Manager at Barclays Bank of Kenya and American Life Insurance Company Limited Kenya. Most recently, Samuel has been working as a Finance Consultant, sharing his knowledge and helping banks like AWADH Bank in Ethiopia prepare for new international financial reporting standards.

Samuel has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Nairobi, is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and earned an Executive MBA.

He has many useful skills, including accounting, financial planning, managing budgets, controlling costs, and leading teams. Samuel is described as a good communicator who can build good relationships with people.

Samuel hobbies include watching rugby and soccer. He is also actively involved in his church, serving on the Finance committee of the Board.
