Vice-chancellor Prof Laban Ayiro and Yatima Organization Country Director Mr. Tom Wambulwa signed the MOU

On 12th March 2024, Daystar University and Yatima Outreach Organization signed a 3-year working agreement at the Nairobi Campus Council Room. Representing Daystar University was the Vice-chancellor, Prof. Laban P. Ayiro and the DVC Finance, Administration and Planning, Prof. Muturi Wachira, and the Dean School of Applied Human Sciences, Dr. Kennedy Ongaro. Yatima Organization was represented by the County Director Mr. Tom Wambulwa and Vice Chairperson Yatima Board, Ms. Chelagat Nases.
The Vice-chancellor welcomed the partnership and applauded the creation efforts from both teams. He further encouraged future collaborations terming it a step towards the right direction; one of togetherness.
On his part, Mr. Tom Wambulwa thanked the Daystar University team for their cordial engagement in drafting the MoU and applauded its completion. He anticipated more working relations with Daystar University with the goal of transforming the society. While Ms. Chelagat Nases celebrated the agreement saying that it is not only a move to grow the two institutions but also a move to positively impact lives in society.
The scope of the MoU include: Technical expertise in research, increased publications, and opportunities for qualified students, collaboration in seminars, trainings, and financial support.
Also Present in the event were the Director, Quality Assurance, Dr. Sylvia Tuikong; the Coordinator, Institute of Child Development, Dr. Roseline Olumbe; and lecturers in the School of Applied Human Sciences: HoD Development Studies, Dr. Mary Mogute, Dr. Jared Bravin Menecha, Dr. Philemon Yugi, and Dr. Elizabeth Kithuka.
