In a groundbreaking move, Daystar University has embarked on a transformative training program for lecturers in the Department of Theology and Pastoral Studies. The first training was conducted by Jonathan Burnham, revolutionary approach to teaching the Bible.

The training focuses, lecturers who teach BIL111, BIL112, and BIL212, the core Bible courses at the university.

Burnham's approach emphasizes the importance of teaching the Bible as a cohesive narrative, revealing its relevance to modern life. By exploring the Old Testament, particularly the book of Genesis, lecturers learnt how to guide students in understanding the Bible's timeless themes and their application to contemporary challenges.

"This training is not just about imparting knowledge; it is about igniting a passion for the Bible and its transformative power," Burnham emphasized. "By equipping lecturers with this approach, we are investing in the future of our students and the impact they will have on the world."

"This training is a game-changer," said one enthusiastic lecturer. "We are not just teaching Bible facts; we are helping students see how the Bible's message can transform their lives and shape their worldview."

The training focused on exploring innovative teaching methods of teaching and resources to make the Bible more accessible and relevant to students, with the ultimate goal of empowering students to develop personal connection with the Bible and to apply its principles to their daily lives.

Daystar University remains committed to its mission of providing a Christ-centred education that prepares students for servant leadership and transformative engagement in their communities and the world.
