About
I am a consultant on Urban/Regional Development; and Environmental Planning. I am qualified as a sociologist, physical planner, as well as lawyer. The academic qualifications include a B.A (Hons) in Sociology; M.A (Urban and Regional Planning, University of Nairobi, Kenya; and PhD (Planning), Nottingham University in Britain. Other qualifications include an LLB degree (UNISA) with specialisation in Planning and Environmental Law and a Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.
1. Senior Planner and Head of Research and Information Section in the Department of Town and Regional Planning, Ministry of Local Government, Lands and Housing (Botswana); 1994-1996.
2. Physical Planning Officer, Ministry of Lands and Settlement, Kenya, 1977-1983
3. Lecturer - Universities of Nairobi, Kenya (1983-1994)) and Venda South Africa (1996-1999).
4. Director, Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA – 2008-2011) as well as chairman from 2011 to 2014.
5. Director, Land Development and Governance Institute (LDGI) 2009 to Date
6. Chairman, Kenya Institute of Planning (KIP) 2005 - 2010
7.Chairman of Council and acting Chancellor of Multimedia University, Kenya from 2017- -2023.
